Google, Gmail, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, ChatGPT โ all blocked in China. Any VPN must be installed and tested BEFORE arriving in China. It will not work if you install it after arrival.

Li River Cruise (ๆผๆฑ)
THE experience. 4.5-hour boat ride from Guilin to Yangshuo through iconic karst peaks. Book through your hotel or a travel agency. The scenery is what you see on China's ยฅ20 banknote.
Yangshuo West Street (่ฅฟ่ก)
The tourist hub of Yangshuo. Lined with bars, restaurants, and souvenir shops. Very lively at night with street food, live music, and a buzzing atmosphere. Great for evening walks and people-watching.
Longji Rice Terraces (้พ่ๆขฏ็ฐ)
2-hour drive from Guilin. Stunning layered terraces carved into the mountainside. Best times: May-Sep (lush green) or October (golden harvest). Allow a full day โ the drive is long but absolutely worth it.
Reed Flute Cave (่ฆ็ฌๅฒฉ)
5,000-year-old limestone cave with dramatic stalactites and colorful lighting. Located 30 minutes from central Guilin. An easy half-day trip that pairs well with other city sights.
Xianggong Mountain (็ธๅ ฌๅฑฑ)
The best viewpoint for sunrise photos of the Li River winding through karst peaks. 30-minute drive from Yangshuo. The 15-minute climb to the top rewards you with one of China's most photographed landscapes.
Yulong River Bamboo Rafting (้้พๆฒณ)
Peaceful bamboo raft ride through Yangshuo's countryside. Motor-free and quiet โ you hear nothing but birds and water. 1-2 hours. Far more intimate than the Li River cruise. A perfect morning activity.
